Films on the Lawn - High Society Presented by the Sun Valley Opera ALL AGES Join us on the Sun Valley Pavilion lawn for the Sun Valley Opera's presentation of the film classic High Society. High Society is a 1956 American musical romantic comedy film directed by Charles Walters and starring Bing Crosby, Grace Kelly, and Frank Sinatra. Music and lyrics by Cole Porter. Jazz artist C.K. Dexter Haven (Bing Crosby) is still hung up on his ex-wife and neighbor, socialite Tracy Samantha Lord (Grace Kelly), however Tracy is engaged to another man (John Lund). Matters are complicated even further when a magazine reporter (Frank Sinatra), in town to cover Tracy's wedding, also winds up falling for the beautiful bride-to-be. As Tracy tries to decide on the ideal husband, each suitor works hard to convince her he is the best choice. Bring your own low backed chair and picnic. Food and drinks are allowed at the event.
