Help remove Poison Hemlock plants that grow very near the trail. This plant is poisonous if ingested but can also cause skin irritation. It can be mis-identified as an edible relative in the carrot family and it grows near the cypress trees where families and children like to gather.
You will be rewarded with breathtaking views and the satisfaction that comes from physical labor and visual impact.
Bring plenty of drinking water and snacks as needed. Light refreshments will be provided. We recommend wearing long pants and sleeves, as the plant can cause skin irritation.
Regarding Covid-19: If you feel sick or if you have recently been exposed to anyone with a positive diagnosis, please stay home.
Registration is required as we are limiting the number of participants.
Volunteers will meet our staff at the Gateway to Jenner Headlands parking lot off Highway 1. The work area is just past the picnic tables near the cypress trees, a short walk from the parking area.
