First, today's weather: Humid with clouds and sun. High: 94 Low: 80. Here are the top three stories today in New Orleans: A shooting in Little Woods on Wednesday afternoon left one man injured. NOPD began investigating the incident after the victim was transported to the hospital by EMS. There has yet to be any update on his condition or identity. (WGNO New Orleans) A woman was arrested on Tuesday after allegedly attacking her father and grandmother with a hatchet while they slept. Both victims are expected to survived but suffered major injuries. The woman allegedly forced her way into her father's house and fled from the scene prompting a two-day search. She was ultimately apprehended. (NOLA.com) Mayor Cantrell released a statement on Tuesday restating that her administration stands with NOPD and urging the public to have more respect for law enforcement as recent public safety threats have begun to escalate.
