CAPE MAY, NJ — No charges will be filed in the May 15 accident that killed a 63-year-old woman, the Cape May County Prosecutor's Office said. The driver, who Cape May police previously called "erratic," had a medical emergency while driving, Cape May County Acting Prosecutor Michelle DeWeese and Chief Dekon Fashaw of the Cape May Police Department said in a joint statement. On May 15, the driver struck and killed the 63-year-old pedestrian, before hitting a telephone pole and another vehicle before becoming disabled, police previously said. The investigation was conducted by the Cape May County Prosecutor's Office Fatal Crash Investigation Unit and members of the Cape May Police Department.
