Peer Support Team TrainingThe cost of the training is $325.00 for all four days. Upon registration, you will receive an e-mail with a link to complete payment. Ellie Mental Health in partnership with Peer Support Support is excited to annouce a new training opportunity for those currently serving on peer support teams and those interested in starting one. Our goal is to prepare, teach, and help hone skills needed for effectively Peer Support and assist in the development of high-functioning Peer Support teams. Well-trained and skilled peer support teams can elevate a work group’s expectation of wellbeing. Peer support can decrease the unnecessary suffering of coworkers while also giving peer support team members a greater sense of purpose. Peers are uniquely qualified because they often understand the stressors of the workplace, demands of the work, and may have shared experiences on or off the job.This training supports the new MN Statute 181.9731 Peer to Peer Counseling Commissioner Approved Standards, requiring 30 hours of training and has been approved by the Minnesota Department of Public Safety. Meet your Trainers: Brian Casey- Decades of experience working in public safety, and as a health educator, enable Brian Casey to speak in simple and relatable terms about the most pressing mental and emotional issues that peer team members may encounter. Brittany Miskowiec, PhD, MSW, LICSW- Suicidologist and Director of the Law Enforcement and First Responder services program at Ellie Mental Health. Exclusively works with law enforcement, first responders, and veterans.
