Looking for a position where you can make a difference? CTF Illinois is seeking an Associate Director of Community Day Services for our Tinley Park location. The primary objective of this position will be to manage overall operations for day training or residential programs in order to enhance the skill development, health, freedom, and personal dignity of individuals receiving services. Essential Job Functions: Create and maintain an atmosphere of interest for individuals and employees by providing support, guidance and leadership to programs in each site or workgroup.Oversee implementation of individuals daily living and active treatment programs by the direct care staff and Site Supervisors as defined in the Individual Service Plan (ISP).Maintain an active presence within the facilities to ensure that the operation of site is meeting the standards of the organization and meeting the needs of individuals receiving services.Adhere to each site's budgetary requirements in the areas of staffing levels, supplies (including food), equipment and utilities.Ensure the overall maintenance of each site, working with the Maintenance Director/Manager and or the Vice President to coordinate improvements and repairs as necessary.Monitor the active treatment in all facilities by completing regular observations and routinely reviewing a sample of the monthly documentation.Promote and maintain effective working relationships with other organizations and individuals whose own activities directly support the organization's services to individuals.Hire, train, supervise, discipline, terminate, and evaluate personnel (direct care staff, Site Supervisors and/or additional staff member in accordance with established policies and procedures.Monitor the hiring and training of direct care staff by assisting Site Supervisor and making recommendations as needed.Confirm that all direct care staff have completed DSP, including applicable OJT (on-the-job training), preferably within 30 days of hire but no later than 120 days of hire to ensure that staff are properly trained and that the organization maximizes its allowable reimbursements.Provide general oversight to Site Supervisors in the management of direct care staff, ensuring consistency in employment actions and work performance standards.Responsible for employee relations involving grievances and investigations.Assume Site Supervisor functions and job assignments in the absence/vacancy of the Site Supervisor.Ensure that complaints and grievances are investigated thoroughly by persons who are certified to conduct investigations, in accordance with company policies and procedures, as well as OIG guidelines when applicable.Communicate policies and procedures by scheduling and participating in staff meetings and committee meetings as applicable.If required, ensure that each home has sufficient staff available who are authorized to pass medications by coordinating instruction with the Nurse Trainer.If required, ensure that vocational production work is completed on time and in accordance with job standards, providing qualified individuals with the opportunity to performance meaningful work.Communicate to the Regional Director any needs, concerns, pertinent or relevant information for each site.Oversee compliance of applicable regulations and standards.Ensure that each site remains in compliance with state and federal regulationsEnsure DHS and/or IDPH regulatory compliance at all sites.Maintain a working knowledge of current Federal and State regulations, HIPAA, OSHA, labor laws, as well as professional standards, and make/assist in the development of and/or recommend policies and procedures.Carry a cell phone and respond in a timely manner to all calls.. Required Experience, Education and/or Training: Bachelors degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; plus two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.Minimum 2 years experience with individuals with developmental disabilities.Ability to define problems, and resolve them quickly.Requires strong supervisory skills, coupled with excellent oral and written communication skills.Basic user knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook,etc.), and/or other PC applications.Ability to work well with ever changing priorities and or situations.Must be a self-starter who can work well with people.Must be at least 21 years of age. Additional Experience, Education and/or Training Preferred: Prefer previous DSP training preferred.Previous certification and training as a QMRP/QIPD preferred but not required.
