We are excited to be hosting our first HPHA Retreat! During this overnight retreat, we hope to:
Create a space for learning and networking among Hmong public health professionals, students and other professionals.Foster and strengthen relationshipsCreate a space for learning more about other areas of public health and what's new in the field.Give participants a chance to hear others' journeys within and outside of public health.Teach you new skills!**Please READ THIS SECTION before registering**
Date: Saturday, July 23, 2022 (arrive by @ 3 PM) - Sunday, July 24, 2022 (end by 12 PM)
Location: Lake Zumbra, Victoria, Minnesota (approx 50 min from Twin Cities)
This event is only open to HPHA members and each member is allowed to bring one (1) guest. (Guest must be age 18+.)There will be a $40 registration fee per person to cover the cost of food and activities. (All meals, snacks, and drinks will be provided using the registration fee. You are welcome to bring your own snacks/drinks if you prefer.)Registration deadline: July 1, 2022If you are attending alone and would like to share a tent with 1- 2 other people, we will pair you with other attendees on the day of the event.For individuals that do not have a tent - We will have tents and sleeping pads available for you to use at no additional cost! You will only need to bring a blanket, pillow and/or sleeping bag.If you are a Hmong Public Health Professional/Student and are not yet an HPHA member, please complete a membership application at linktr.ee/hpha. Once your membership has been approved, you can register for the Retreat!
