Press release from the City of Tulsa: June 6, 2022 Beginning on June 10, the traffic signal at East 71st Street and South 85th East Avenue will be out of service for repair. The work is estimated to take about a week. During the repair, the signal heads will be covered so traffic on 71st Street will not stop at this intersection. A stop sign will be placed on 85th East Avenue approaching 71st Street, and signs will be added so all northbound traffic will only be able to make a right turn onto 71st Street. Westbound traffic on 71st Street will still be able to turn left onto 85th East Avenue, but there will not be a protected left-turn arrow since the signal will be off.
