We are in need of daily laborers for our warehouse. We are a furniture liquidation company Daily duties include, but are not limited to the following.. Sweep up the warehouse, keep it clean throughout the day, unload the new pallets as they come in and break them down according to the item number. Keeping inventory and helping customers load their purchase to their cars is another duty. Most boxes weigh between 30-70lbs, some less. We are fast moving and always busy. We are looking for a self starter, initiative taker, and problem solver! DAILY HELPERS NEEDED / BILINGUAL A PLUS TEMP TO HIRE We're looking for diligent and dependable individuals to join our client's warehouse team. The successful candidates will be responsible for inventory management and processing, stock control and other daily operations. We require individuals with strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Responsibilities: Warehouse Assistant Duties and Responsibilities: • Lifting up to 75 lbs • Setup and break down customer display each day in a timely manner • Move inventory and materials throughout the store/warehouse • Handle delicate and sensitive products with utmost care • Process inventory for deliveries/pickups • Sort, organize, and store inventory in proper location • Package items and label correctly • Report damaged or missing inventory to supervisors • Stack and organize large bulk items • Handle and operate necessary tools and accessories in maintaining and managing a warehouse • Remove inventory from trucks for shipping and/or delivery • Move materials from storage to pick-up area or other locations • Ensure workspace is free of debris and remove safety hazards • Ensure store, bathrooms, and storage areas are clean at all times • Keep warehouse premises neat and clean • Work as an active team member to complete team goals • Close pickups in a timely fashion • Update logs and documentation for inventory processing • Assist in organizing and maintaining up to date records of inventory • Use best practices in handling warehouse materials Warehouse Assistant Requirements and Qualifications: • High school degree or equivalent • Able to pass drug test/background check • Physically able to stand, sit, move, squat, walk, and climb during the course of the shift • Physically able to lift up to 75 pounds or more • Able to work night, weekends, and holidays • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Able to work in a fast-paced environment • Able to work independently • High attention to detail and monitors quality/quantity of inventory • Highly organized and able to store items efficiently • Must follow all health and safety procedure and regulations as dictated by the organization and the state. Job Type: Part-time Pay: $120 a day – 10am to 6pm Experience: • Pallet Jack: 1 year (Required) • Warehouse: 2 years (Required) Education: • High school or equivalent (Required) Location: Los Angeles, CA (Required) License: • Forklift Certified (Preferred) Work Location: • One location
