FilmGatos! Come celebrate our local creators in an amazing night of imagination and inspiration. About us: FilmGate Miami is a non-profit organization that's goal is to ensure the empowerment and growth of local creators and talent. Providing them with a platform in which they can showcase their art, reaching new audiences locally and internationally. FilmGate Short Film Festival is a monthly film festival that has a different theme per month. This month, we will be accepting any genre! This is what we call our Free-for-all! ---------------------------------------------- The selection is out! Tabletop Inferno by Fernando Guillen A promising first date slowly descends into a match made in Hell. The Blue and White in Me by Daniel Castro A disabled filmmaker attempts to rediscover his voice as a global pandemic halts production on his call to action documentary. untitled nightmare by Chris Krider The Queen's Jewels by Josh Friedman Beau discovers that his family’s tales about pirates that sailed into his town over three hundred years ago and the hunt for the Queen’s lost dowry still exists today. Never Too Late by Guillermo Alfonso Never Too Late is short biopic about passion and determination. We find ourselves face to face in the ring with Ulysses “The Monster” Diaz as he tells his incredible story of pain and perseverance. Diaz is an accomplished boxer and a bare knuckle fighter most famously known for holding the world’s fastest knock out in sports combat history ( 3 seconds!) made official by Guiness World Records. From prison time to becoming head of security for his child hood best friend Pitbull, Diaz has had one hell of a ride so far that seems to have just started. We join him backstage as director Guillermo Alfonso documents all the intense moments leading up to Diaz’s first title fight at age 40 against legendary MMA fighter Thiago Alves. Trained by boxing Hall Of Famer Commander Zero and accompanied by his fiancé Ashley Sebera aka Dana Brook (WWE superstar Diva), we realize that Diaz has been preparing for this moment his whole life. After hearing his story you will know that no matter what your circumstances are, it’s NEVER TOO LATE. Egg Belly by Tyler Council A basket case boyfriend meets his seemingly sweet girlfriend's family for the first time on Christmas Eve. He is rapidly blind-sided by their occultist morals. Horizon by Julian Morales Manny struggles with a life altering change, then is greeted by a kind Stranger in his time of need. Privacy Comes First by Monica Matute "Privacy Comes First" is about a typical day in the neighborhood gone wrong when a young woman's package delivery exposes her intimate secret.
