Jadzia Bryant, 14, is a member of Girl Scout Troop 1983 and about to earn the second highest award a Girl Scout can achieve – the Silver Award.
To earn the extraordinary achievement, Jadzia partnered with Cosumnes CSD Parks and Recreation to complete a project that will benefit her community for years to come. With a clear vision, determination, and a big heart, Jadzia designed and painted a mural celebrating diversity, equity and inclusion in Elk Grove Park.
The District is proud to be the recipient of this budding artist's work and gratefully recognized Jadzia at the Cosumnes CSD Board of Directors meeting on August 4. The mural will greet visitors as they enter Elk Grove Park and will serve as a visual reminder that everyone is welcome and safe in this space.
