Lincoln-Sudbury Students To Perform For Pandemic Relief

SUDBURY, MA — Students at Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School recently held a talent show to raise money for children hurt by the coronavirus pandemic — and the event was so successful, the students are planning to make keep holding fundraisers. The first talent show was held on Dec. 23 and raised about $2,250 for the charity Save the Children, according to Lincoln-Sudbury seniors Achla Gandhi and Dasha Trosteanetchi. "The talent show was a win-win-win, it would not only raise money to help kids in the pandemic, but also it would give the kids of Lincoln an outlet to showcase their talents in a time when so many activities have been shut down, and moreover, it would give people of Lincoln and nearby communities a place to connect in a time of isolation," Gandhi said in an email The students are planning a second talent show on Feb. 12 to raise more money for Save the Children, Trosteanetchi and Gandhi said. The first talent was conducted virtually, with students playing instruments, showing off horse riding skills and performing puppet shows online.
