UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — Gunshots rang out in the middle of the afternoon Thursday on the Upper West Side, police said. An NYPD spokesperson confirmed to Patch that multiple shots were fired around 3 p.m. at West 64th Street and Amsterdam Avenue. There are no injuries reported and a male shooter fled on foot, police said. NYPD is canvassing the surrounding area for the man.
