Morning, neighbors! I'm back with your fresh edition of the Buckhead Daily. Here's all the local news you need to know right now. First, today's weather: A t-storm around in the p.m.. High: 84 Low: 61. Here are the top three stories in Buckhead today: Thirty-three year old Henok Gembremichael was arrested yesterday for shooting at a car driving along Peachtree Road near Buckhead Village on Tuesday afternoon. The shots missed the vehicle but went through the glass door of a Sephora store. Immediately after the shooting Atlanta police began searching the area, finding Gembremichael in a nearby neighborhood. ( The Atlanta Journal Constitution)Victor Shumate, a local Dunwoody elementary school custodian who became paralyzed after contracting COVID-19, has made great strides in his recovery. Shumate recovered from his first bout of COVID-19 in November 2020, but was hospitalized in February 2021 because he was losing his ability to walk. Since his diagnosis of "COVID-induced myelopathy" Shumate has regained full use of his upper extremities and some use of his lower extremities, including being able to stand without assistance. (Reporter Newspapers)Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes is selling her condo, a part of the five-star Waldorf Astoria Hotel, for $2.5 million. The reality TV star purchased the apartment for $1.85 million in November 2021. The residence comes with security, a four-car garage, and a separate gated townhouse.
