But we need your help getting the word out that nominations are currently being accepted for the 2022 Minority Enterprise Development (MED) Week Awards. There are 5 categories: In honor of its 40th anniversary, MED Week will be filled with unique events and networking opportunities designed to celebrate the outstanding achievements of minority entrepreneurs while also providing tools and opportunities for all minority business owners to grow and expand. "Winning the 2020 award for Emerging Minority Business of the Year was a great help to my business because it put a whole new set of eyes on the company," says Tasha Moore, owner of Tasha Teaches Spanish. "It helped solidify the public perception of my business." "The LR Regional Chamber has created a space for all, recognized our contribution to society, and receiving that award validated me," says Keneasha Scott with K Scott Consults, LLC, which was named the 2021 Minority-Owned Business of the Year.
