Description

Provide direct support to our Maintenance Supervisor. Complete assigned work orders from the maintenance manager. Able to communicate effectively with maintenance team members, office staff, vendors, and residents. Bilingual, able to speak both English and Spanish is preferred Clean and maintain pools with a pool certification (preferred). Turn vacant apartments including, but not limited to; trash out, touch up paint, locks, light bulbs, garbage disposal, fix cabinets/drawers, doors/hinges, smoke detectors, blinds, window screens, clean drains, faucets, toilets, tubs/showers. Schedule all make ready contract work. Clean grounds daily Perform Housekeeping on quick turns to ensure productivity. Maintain records of all preventative maintenance, service requests and make-ready status using a make ready board with lead maintenance tech. Make repairs in areas such as HVAC, minimal electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, dry wall, building exteriors, and appliances. Maintain work-place and maintenance shop by keeping all areas clean, organized, and fully stocked. HVAC certification required for rotational on-call weekends (bonuses paid). Communication with property manager on community needs, day to day activity and emergencies. Strong communication and customer service skills with residents. Participate in ongoing online training if needed. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and on-call emergencies. Two (2) years’ experience in multifamily property maintenance preferred. Neat, clean, professional and in uniform (provided) at all times throughout the workday and/or whenever present at the community. Comply with expectations as demonstrated in the employee handbook.
