Maintenance Technician Direct Hire Placement Our Client owns and/or manages 2,953 apartments, providing housing that is safe and affordable to those with lower incomes, focusing on seniors, families, and individuals living with disabilities. Serving over 4,000 residents in 55 communities located in urban, suburban, and rural areas across Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Maryland, they build hope and opportunity for all residents to reach their full potential by creating, preserving, and strengthening affordable housing communities. Role Description: The following statements reflect the general duties, responsibilities, and competencies considered necessary to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job and should not be considered as a detailed description of all the work requirements of the position. Management may change the specific job duties with or without prior notice based on the needs of the organization. Key Role Accountabilities Will prepare apartments for re-renting. Make regular inspections of the grounds and buildings and general repairs as needed Make repairs or replacements as necessary and with Supervisor approval if over $1000. Maintain and work with approved vendors as needed within the annual budget. Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies. Be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Have general knowledge of painting and drywall patching along with other minor repairs. Have minor appliance skills. Have general knowledge about building equipment. Be able to evaluate deficiencies such as excessive wear or troubleshoot faulty minor electrical issues Have familiarity with plumbing repairs - change garbage disposals and replace faucets Have general knowledge in handling service calls in a timely manner. Maintain good safety habits. Be available during your on-call week as required. Other job duties assigned as needed.
