Local, family business is looking for a strong, hard-worker willing to learn the ins and outs of Oriental rug cleaning, repair and sales. No previous related work experience needed, though good communication skills, a good driving record, a good attitude, and the ability to lift 50 pounds is necessary. Needed predominantly during the day M-Sat, but there is a little flexibility in hours to accommodate classes or other work. Job responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following: Going on customer pick-ups and deliveries Using a carpet shampooer and extractor to wash rugs (you would be trained first) Keeping track of and organizing cleaning and repair supplies so we know when to reorder Cleaning up the office kitchenette, supply room or bathroom if necessary Stepping in to answer phones or help with customers if we’re extremely busy Rug reweaving or rebinding (you would be taught how to do this) Flipping through rug piles and then straightening up the store when we have customers Vacuuming Starting pay $17 per hour.
