Description: Our mission is to limit the number of vehicles on the road by helping to provide safe, clean and affordable cars for rent in downtown Denver. We are committed to an inclusive and respectful work environment. Operational Specialist supports on-the-ground fleet maintenance and care. Terms: Rate: $25/hr. Average (mean) 9.25 hours per two-week pay period. Seasonal fluctuation between 4 and 16 hours per two-week pay period. You will have autonomy and flexibility with your schedule to the extent that you can accomplish essential tasks. You are instructed to record all time worked, including communication outside of planned working hours. Pay Periods: Pay occurs twice monthly after the closing of the pay period Pay periods close on every other Thursday, and are paid the next day (Friday). You tracks hours via When I Work app; you will also record work performed (what they did) within the app – notes don’t have to be extensive but are helpful for documentation. Location of work: Various parking lots in central Denver area. Duties: Check on vehicles for condition, cleanliness and recent damage. Act as an appropriate representative of the company for registering and licensing new vehicles. Work with preferred dealership, auto shops, detailing service and other local vendors to schedule and complete regular and intermittent vehicle maintenance and repair. Facilitate onboarding of new vehicles into the fleet. Drive vehicles between parking locations and maintenance vendors. Report issues to management staff. Notify management immediately of any driving violations. Comply with all motor vehicle laws. Qualifications: Ability to represent yourself and the company in a professional and respectful manner while working with vendors and third parties, and while interacting with the public. Ability to work independently, self-manage tasks in an efficient manner and report to management on status of work completed. Basic knowledge of vehicle function and mechanical systems: experience jumping vehicles, changing light bulbs, etc… Light handy skills. Possession of basic tools (e.g. jumper cables, screw drivers, etc…). Valid driver license. At least 21 years of age. Eligibility to work in the United States. Clean driving record. Must have and maintain an acceptable MVR grade (as established by MVD) with no major preventable violations in the last 3 years (MVR will be pulled upon hiring and reviewed annually), including: DUI, DWI, or refused test; reckless driving; leaving the scene of an accident; vehicular homicide; false accident reporting; driving with a suspended/revoked license; driving without insurance; attempting to elude a police officer. Must conform to any and all other local, state, or federal statutory requirements for the operation of the vehicle weight requirements and passenger limitations. Technological proficiency to communicate with a remote management team. Ability to identify and anticipate problems. Comfort with vehicles and familiarity with routine maintenance tasks. Competence and efficiency. Reliability, punctuality and work ethic. Physical Demands: This work requires ability to frequently lift, push and pull weights up to forty (40) lbs, as well as frequent bending, stooping, and squatting of the course of full work shift. Duties require fine manual dexterity to perform basic tasks.
