Looking for a part time Kitchen Production Worker. Our kitchen facility is located in NE Portland and operates a mid-morning shift, 2 days a week. Job Duties: -Preparing fresh produce and packaging product -Operating large scale kitchen equipment -Perform basic quality control checks, including accurate packaging counts and weight. -Prepare food in accordance with the Oregon Food Regulations as well as facility established policies and procedures to ensure food safety. -Performs routine and scheduled dishwashing and cleaning procedures. Assures that utensils and other cooking instruments are accounted for. -Cleaning and maintaining processing and packaging equipment. -Assists in inventorying and storing produce as needed. -Provide documentation of food and equipment temperatures and perform corrective actions as needed. Education and Experience: -Kitchen experience preferred but not required -Food handlers card -High School diploma or GED equivalent is preferred. *Must be at least 18 years old per the Bureau of Labor & Industry for operating the foodservice equipment required by this position Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: -Maintains a safe working environment, able to work with a team and individually while safely performing job duties. -Reads, writes, speaks, interprets, and understands English written and verbal instructions, policies, and procedures. -A high degree of attention to detail and accuracy is required. -Works with a sense of urgency in varying temperature environments. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Standing for extended periods of time in a kitchen environment.. Occasional walking to transport products from one area of the kitchen to another. Lifting 50 lbs or less occasionally, 6-10 lbs frequently. Transporting table top equipment, lifting stock pots from stove to sink. Lifting and moving sheet trays from the production area to the freezer. Job Type: Part-time Pay: From $15.00 per hour
