Looking for a part time Kitchen Production Worker. Our kitchen facility is located in NE Portland and operates a mid-morning shift, 2 days a week. Job Duties: -Preparing fresh produce and packaging product -Operating large scale kitchen equipment -Perform basic quality control checks, including accurate packaging counts and weight. -Prepare food in accordance with the Oregon Food Regulations as well as facility established policies and procedures to ensure food safety. -Performs routine and scheduled dishwashing and cleaning procedures. Assures that utensils and other cooking instruments are accounted for. -Cleaning and maintaining processing and packaging equipment. -Assists in inventorying and storing produce as needed. -Provide documentation of food and equipment temperatures and perform corrective actions as needed. Education and Experience: -Kitchen experience preferred but not required -Food handlers card -High School diploma or GED equivalent is preferred. *Must be at least 18 years old per the Bureau of Labor & Industry for operating the foodservice equipment required by this position Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: -Maintains a safe working environment, able to work with a team and individually while safely performing job duties. -Reads, writes, speaks, interprets, and understands English written and verbal instructions, policies, and procedures. -A high degree of attention to detail and accuracy is required. -Works with a sense of urgency in varying temperature environments. Occasional walking to transport products from one area of the kitchen to another. Lifting 50 lbs or less occasionally, 6-10 lbs frequently. Transporting table top equipment, lifting stock pots from stove to sink. Lifting and moving sheet trays from the production area to the freezer. Job Type: Part-time Pay: From $15.00 per hour
