Fresh Look Painting has been serving the Portland/Vancouver area for over 10 years. We're an extroverted group of people, staffed by people who love what they do. We do hundreds of projects each year varying from interior/exterior, cabinet painting and pressure washing. We're looking for a Residential and Commercial Painting Estimator who has experience and ability to estimate and manage painting projects with little to no guidance. An ideal candidate would have experience in making off-site preparations, ability to direct other team members, and experience estimating projects in both residential and commercial environments. They would also have strong personal skills to work with customers, employees, and contractors. A laptop and work vehicle are provided to selected candidates. Job Specifications: - Our business hours are between 8am to 6pm Monday - Friday. - Salary is $60,000/year ($5,000 a month). Please let preference be known for payment once in 2 weeks or once a month. - Work vehicle, gas, phone, and laptop provided. - Health benefits after 6 months. - 5% commission on commercial and residential painting projects that you bring on your own and not what is coming through our companies marketing. Duties and Responsibilities: - Punctuality: Be on time for all appointments and notify customers when running late. - Track Projects: Responsible to understand the specifications in scope of work and subcontractors. - Choose and assign subcontractors to jobs, assign budget, describe job, and describe products to be used on job. - Create budgets and assign costs based upon overall job. - Review and verification of job inspections and invoice sign offs. - Ensure all team members have the most current job specific information. - Be the point of contact for all communications and timely manage all correspondence between customer, team, and any subcontractors. - Ability to give constructive feedback in tense situations. Don't let conflicts escalate. - Support, create, cultivate, and maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and team members. - Change Orders: Timely prepare and submit change orders, change order budgets, and negotiating change orders with the customer, providing back up documentation. - Estimating: Seeking and securing opportunities for future projects. Meet with new general contractors and company managers to offer our services as a form of marketing. - Send estimates to secretary on the same day the estimate is done. - Familiarity with estimating programs / painting estimating programs. Using sales skills and abilities to secure a project. - Integrity and care are the core values of our company!
