Join our Volunteer team to help Meals on Wheels in King County fight hunger! As a Meals on Wheels Volunteer, you will belong to a team committed to helping homebound seniors maintain their health and independence with nutritious food, personal contact, and caring service. Delivery Driver: A volunteer is needed on Tuesday mornings 9:15am – 11:15am, to fill in as needed. This person would be ready to jump in to any role as a backup when one of the weekly volunteers is away. This may include calling Meals on Wheels participants for their weekly orders, packing meals, and delivering meals. Training is provided. We are looking for someone interested in volunteering long-term. Qualities sought in Meals on Wheels volunteers: Good communication and people skills, reliability, good cheer, and a commitment to the well-being of elders. Requirements: Complete the Meals on Wheels Volunteer Application, consent to a Washington State Patrol background check, the ability to lift 15 pounds, and be age 18 or more.
