My name is Brandon Tate, and I’m a bass player who sure as hell loves Royal Blood music! I’ve been learning and playing RB material at home for a long time. I have a working setup that’s VERY close to Mike Kerr’s sound. I think it would be a waste if I didn’t give a go to playing it live, even just once! I’ve worked quite a bit with Denver’s cover & tribute band scene for 4+ years in a variety of projects, as well as being the current long-term fill-in bassist for the Travelin’ Rose Band. I’m just as excited to put in the work to makes this project kick ass too! I have a setlist ready to go made up of both Royal Blood tracks and some really cool covers they’ve done. I imagine starting with mostly material from their first two albums and then possibly working in material from their newest album “Typhoons.” OTHER THINGS ABOUT ME: 1) I do have my own car and gigging gear, although I will need help loading in/out with the massive pedalboard and amp setup specific to this project! 2) We will need to meet for practice at a practice space with a PA system, bass amp, and drums. I would offer my own home studio, but that’s under construction at the moment. I usually go to RocketSpace or SRS for practice otherwise. 3) I work at a university in the Denver area with a very consistent work schedule. I’m easily able to go to practice spaces to put in the work! If I ever have any commitments/errands that come up elsewhere, I’m very good at communicating it to everyone. 4) I’m very active on social media and would gladly take on the role of being the “social media guy!” Please check my portfolio linked about for examples of what I do on socials regularly! 5) I very much value being on time to practice and shows! 6) I have links to popular cover/tribute band venues in Metro Denver, and will take on booking duties as needed. 7) I have links to fellow tribute bands similar in genre to Royal Blood that we can link up with to plan shows! ________________________ WHAT I NEED FROM YOU: Please direct any interest in this project to CL mail relay, or message me directly on Facebook or Instagram. 1) Obviously, have a keen interest in Royal Blood music, and be hyped to play these songs live! 2) Be reliable band members who are collaborative, and excited about this tribute project! 3) If needed, I expect the cost of practice space time to be split equally in the band. I can take cash or Venmo/PayPal. 4) Be willing to help promote any shows we become a part of! I’ll be steering the ship hard in this regard, but any extra bits of promo are well worth it! VOX: 1) Be the other half of Mike Kerr with me, and be able to sing his parts well! I will provide the setlist to you if/when we can confirm our first practice. 2) I care more about finding the right voice for this project, regardless of who you are. If possible, please send samples of your singing (ideally RB) in advance to my contact email! 3) Have reliable transport and gigging gear. 4) Have an excitable stage presence and engage with the crowd, no matter its size! 5) Please help the drummer and I load in/out our gear. You’ll have it easy on your own with a mic, we won’t! DRUMS: 1) Play the amazing drums parts of Ben Thatcher well, as Ben is an equal part of why Royal Blood sounds awesome! A Royal Blood tribute band would be something unique not yet covered in the Colorado/Denver cover/tribute band world, and I’m very excited to finally start this project after tossing it around in my head for some time.
