Description

16 months old, I've had him since he was 9 weeks. He is up on all of his shots and I have the paperwork. He is trained for sit, down, lay down, stay, head down, rollover, touch, paw, back up, working on retrieval. He will grab his bowl if asked. Knows bed, blanket, ball, toy, open door with nose, has learned push button but he's short. Can ring bell on door when he needs to go.out (he is housebroken). He is excellent with other dogs and such. He is people friendly (has growled at a couple of people only on a rare instance as dogs are not dumb). He is a good watchdog at home but, still not aggressive. He can be around kids, still working on not being so happy to jump. He knows heel, front, block and between because I was training him to be my service dog but, the only issue is he is too much play energy for me. He is by far a wonderful dog for anyone though. I had to take the heeler nipping and herding out of him very early. He's also not tall enough for me to use for mobility so I'm washing him out. I have put a lot of time and effort into him, he needs someone that has more energy. He's not exactly hyper but, he is wonderful for agility a she loves jumping to catch and he does twists. He would be fine in an apartment but, not ideal energy need for someone elderly nor of low energy. He is a pretty simple dog, he would do fine in playgroups. Dog parks make him a little nervous but, that is because so many dogs even in public area aggressive. I think they sense his submissive nature. I've avoided taking him because they don't recommend service dogs go to parks like that. He would definitely love to have a home buddy. His re home fee is $250. He is also chipped and neutered (tattoo by his private parts). He is on victor dog food and his stomach is sensitive so that is a food along with blue buffalo that works for him. I only feed the duck, lamb, fish type, no chicken nor beef. He gets natural peanut butter, loves sweet potatoes (even dog treats). chicken peas, multi grain cheerios. Duck is another dog treat her likes. He likes bully sticks, pig or buffalo ears. He is treat motivated and he is so extremely smart that he learns a trick in a day ( as to why he knows what I've taught him). He is used to all sorts of gear (shoes, sunglasses, vests, leash, collar). He hates having his nails done but, I've never had to do them (I've never had a dog like that but I do clip his dew claws). He's barely tolerable with having his teeth brushed (he pulls away). All in all he's a fun guy, mostly not a cuddle bug but, he is loyal to not running away, just run around. He enjoys sleeping with his owner and is a good friend.
