We will tour their new campus, built to Living Building Challenge standards, learn about their master plan, inspired by the International Living Future Institute’s Living Community Challenge, enjoy local organic farm food, gather around the fire at night, and connect deeply. We will be using Open Space* facilitation to guide our process to capture the creativity and enthusiasm of all who show up. What’s required of you: Be ready to show up and imagine our collective futures and help us advance regenerative real estate in your community. This will be a highly engaged working week. Time spent in nature will allow our creativity to flourish! Walk the farm, swim in the river, enjoy the essence of summer, feast on local, organic food, imbibe in local libations and let this nourish the process. It's time to see Real Estate as an opportunity for people and the planet to thrive together. All are welcome! Invite someone you think would be a great addition to this work. Sleeping Arrangements 9,000 square-foot dormitory, built to Living Building Challenge standards, takes advantage of existing tree line windrows, enhancing the natural contours of the landscape and giving participants the opportunity to be immersed in a restful forest setting. Rooms can accommodate up to 4 people per room. For the purposes of our gathering, we will put 2 adults together. There are up to 12 single rooms available that are an additional $250 per room We look forward to convening with you! - The Latitude Planning Committee and The Ecology School About The Ecology School The Ecology School is a place to inspire learning and sustainable living. It is designed to bring people and nature together. We provide “live what you learn” opportunities for guests through hands-on exploration of Maine’s ecosystems, sustainable living practices, direct connection to food systems and farming along with modeling conservation-in-action. Located on the River Bend Farm, a historic 105-acre farm on a scenic bend in the Saco River, The Ecology School hosts retreats and conferences and summer camps and school programs. River Bend Farm is a place where people of all ages will find comfortable accommodations, delicious food, and beautiful outdoor spaces to explore.
