The Maritime Academy of Toledo will celebrate the Juneteenth holiday with a community event on Thursday, June 16. This fun-filled event is free and open to the public. The main attraction will surely be the free boat rides on the Maumee River, but attendees will also receive free food, face painting, kids’ manicures and haircuts and time in the bounce houses. Many local organizations will be on-site to celebrate with the community, including Toledo Fire Department, Premier Bank, The Marines, Deputy Sheriff, Buckeye Health, A Step Beyond, Tackle and United Way.
