Daring to enter the Fair may be daunting for some. Thanks to Missoula Public Library, Missoula Food Bank, Garden City Harvest, Zootown Community Center and Western Cider you can participate in a number of FREE Pre-Fair Workshops. Curious about canning your own food but unsure of where to start? This hands-on workshop will walk you through the process of water-bath canning and leave you with your own, home-made pickles and the confidence to do it again! This workshop is a collaboration between the Missoula County Fairgrounds, the Missoula Food Bank and Garden City Harvest. Aiming to lower barriers to entry, this free workshop will provide participants with the space, tools and ingredients to create a fair-worthy product.
