Description
From design crits to stakeholder workshops, designers often play the role of facilitator. But as we strive to make our process more inclusive, our designs more user-centered, and the outcomes of our work more equitable, good facilitation has become more important than ever. It's critical that we know how to orchestrate and catalyze groups of people so that they are empowered to envision new approaches to the problems facing their communities. This talk will make a case for why facilitation is the most important design skill not taught in design school and approaches for becoming a better facilitator.
