Description

We are interested in banquet servers for at the Oshkosh Convention Center, Best Western Premier Oshkosh Hotel, and for our off premise catered events. Our experienced team members provide the finest in service and hospitality to guests for conferences, weddings, and private off-site events. As an important member of our team, you will be required to server food and drink at receptions, dinners, and special events while interacting with guests in a positive, friendly, and efficient manner. To work an occasional shift, the pay is $16 per hour. Call Dan at 920-230-6280. To join our team as a long term team member, apply at. Pay will be $14-$15 per hour (based on experience) plus a tip-out incentive that adds another $1.00 to $1.50 per hour. To be a successful member of our team, experience will be helpful but isn't required. The most valuable skill will be a can-do approach and a friendly, outgoing personality! Duties include: • Preparation of banquet event rooms prior to events • Set up buffets with food presentation standards and practices in mind, ensuring safe food handling performance • Carrying trays and serve plated dinners to guests and respond to requests for beverages, appetizers, and other needs • Communicate with and interact with event management as well as other servers and event organizers • Clean up venue after event ends and assist with inventory, food storage, and other closeout tasks • Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness • Work as a team, solve problems and have fun • Adhere to grooming and appearance standards Positions Requirements • Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period of time • Must be able to carry 5 to 20 pound trays over the shoulder (We will train you to be able to do this.) • Must be able to reach with hands and arms in any direction and kneel and stoop repeatedly Qualifications: • Customer service or waiter/waitress experience is preferred but not required • Must be flexible to work evenings and weekends. Friday and Saturday nights are our greatest need time period • Ability to follow directions • Excellent oral communication and listening skills • Excellent customer service skills • Must be able to accommodate guests effectively and politely • Ability to work quickly and as a team member in a fast-paced environment
