USO Back to School Skate event

Calling Military youth ages 3- 15 years old. (School age) Come skate the time away with the USO and other military youth before you go back to school at this private USO skate party. All youth attending must be dependants of currently serving military from any branch. ( National Guard, Reserves, Active). The guardian must have a Valid Military issued ID (DEERS) This is a group entry event. All those attending must enter at one time. The entry time for the event is 9:30 am. Guardians: You must be over 18 to supervise youth for this event and have a military DEERS card. USO will have donated school supplies on hand for parents to pick up at the event. Please bring a list of items you are in need of. Items are donated and vary in quanity. All items are provided free to you. Included for each child's admission: (1) slice of Pizza, (1) beverage (1) take home treatFamily Friendly music ( requests for songs are taken) 1 parent only will be allowed to attend with the family as an observer. Adgenda 9:15-9:30 am meet in the venue parking lot 9:30 am enter building and pick up skates for youth10:00- 11:00 am School supply shopping is open. 11:00 am Pizza lunch (Cheese, Sausage or Pepperoni) 11:20-11:30 End of event - exit venue. GUESTS MAY NOT REMAIN INSIDE THE BUILDING PAST 11:30 AM. (This is strictly enforced so employees can complete their duties in a timely manner.) ATTENTION Rules of participation:Photography will be taken and used for internal reporting within the USO. Entrance is only open at 9:30 am. Those arriving after the group enters will not be allowed in. Please do not be late. No early or late admission to the rink will be allowed. Socks must be worn by all youth if skating. 1 guardian will be allowed in for each household. USO can not watch your children without you on site. We are charged for those that are not skating. Please help us keep the cost down so that we can do more of these programs. Food or beverage carry in is not allowed. Family Venue No Fighting, bullying, foul language or aggression will be allowed. Please be respectful of all. IF YOU OR A MEMBER IN YOUR GROUP: (A) are not feeling well do not attend the event. No food fights allowed. All children and guardian will be excorted from the venue if this occurs. FAQ: USO is not responsible for any injury that is obtained in conjunction with attending this event. Please use your best judgement. Stobe lights, flashing lights, loud music may be used at times. How many tickets are the most I can reserve? You can reserve up to 4 tickets for Youth to skate. Each order will automatically come with (1) observer entry for the guardian. Can I bring my childs non- military friends?- No, sorry this is only open to military dependents. Can I be the guardian for my childs military friends? Yes, that is up to the parents to decide who over the age of 18 can be the guardian at this event. I am Retired can I bring my kids? - Yes if you are fully retired and have legal dependants age 5-15. I am a Veteran can my dependents attend? - No, we are sorry but USO programs are only for those currently in the military or fully retired with the proper ID. Is there a cost for this event? - No but we will ask that you fill out a 10 question survey at / after the event. What happens if I arrive late?- You, and your child will not be allowed to enter the venue. All parties must be present at the time of the doors opening. Do I need to live near this USO to attend?- No this is not area specific. Is transportation provided? No, we do not provide transportation for events. What is the Maximum number of youth that can attend the event.? The event is capped at 50 people including staff and guardians. Each household can reserve up to 4 entry tickets. 1 adult guardian ticket will be added to each order. I want to attend but we have kids ages 0- 3 can I bring them if they do not skate? Please locate childcare for these ages. The venue is louder than needed for an infant. All people entering over the age ( or appear over) 3 years old will incure a charge for the USO. We ask that you help us keep the costs down.
