Please join the ladies of the Theta Iota Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc as we host our 6th Annual Summer on the Mile! This event will take place at the Black-owned Caribbean Island lounge on the waterfront side of the Nautical Mile. It will be a wonderful evening with great music, food, dancing, and a chance to win a brand new Apple watch! Tickets are $20 and include (2) raffle tickets. This event is hosted in partnership with the Ivy Foundation Suffolk/Nassau Counties, Inc. All proceeds will support our academic scholarships and chapter programs. COVID PROTOCOLS You must provide proof of vaccination as well as proof of a negative COVID test (electronic or hard copy) within 72 hours of the event. The test must be taken between Monday 6/20 and Thursday 6/23. PCR, rapid, and home tests are all accepted. If a home test is used, you will be required to provide a picture of the negative result that includes a visible driver's license or photo identification in the shot WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND RELEASEBy purchasing a ticket and attending this event, I hereby release and agree to hold Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated harmless from and waive any and all causes of action, claims, demands, damages, costs, expenses, and compensation for illness or death arising out of exposure to COVID-19 that may be caused by any act or failure to act during my participation in this event or activity on behalf of myself, my heirs, and any personal representatives. I understand that this Waiver discharges Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, its employees or representatives from any liability or claim that I, my heirs, or any personal representatives may have against the sorority arising out of exposure to COVID-19. The Waiver of Liability and Release extends to members of the Board of Directors, employees, and participating members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.By initialing below, I acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk that I may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 by participating in this activity or event or other Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated activities and that such exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability, and death.
