Description

Nature and Forest Therapy is a supported and guided practice of cultivating an authentic relationship to the land, the self, and to other human beings. With a series of invitations, you will be guided to explore your connection to this time and place through the physical and imaginal senses, ground in your body with some light stretching and other inspired movements, and slow down to observe and relate with the world around us in a way that is natural and nourishing to you personally. With demands on our time and energy, it can be easy to reach burnout. We need the Pause and moments of rest to tune in with the self and our connection to the world we are woven into, so that we can continue forward with our plans in a way that feels healthy and sustainable. As a Nature and Forest Therapy Guide, dance artist, and yogi, Celeste offers her presence in supporting a 1-4 hour immersive retreat in a natural setting where participants are invited to slow down the mind and body and awaken the physical and imaginal senses enough to become receptive to the medicine of the forest. With Celeste and in community, you are welcome to safely engage and explore the senses and cultivate a stronger relationship with yourself, other humans, and the world beyond humans in a gentle, trauma informed approach. A guide's primary objective is to allow the forest to give you what you need in a way that feels safe and supportive. Our motto is “The forest is the therapist, the guide opens the door.” Forest Therapy and Shinrin Yoku (Forest Bathing) are Heart Centered Practices, with scientific support on its physiological and psychological benefits.
