NEW YORK CITY — An accused Bronx subway shover's return to the scene of his crime got him arrested, according to a report and police. Theodore Ellis, 30, is accused of being the man who tossed a 52-year-old woman off a subway platform Sunday — an attack captured in shocking video. Footage from the video was circulated online and put on posters, which captured the eye of an MTA worker, the New York Post first reported. The worker spotted Ellis at the same Jackson Avenue station where the attack unfolded, and — thinking he was the suspect — alerted police, the report states. Ellis was arrested Tuesday, just hours after the video and images from it circulated, police said. He will face requested charges of assault and reckless endangerment, authorities said. Bystanders pulled the woman off the tracks and she was taken to a local hospital in stable condition, authorities said.
