We will focus on the big birds. Easy to see but sometimes difficult to identify. Everyone enjoys looking at birds but knowing what kind of bird it is can increase your sense of connection with nature. Go beyond body color to identify the birds. As we walk along, you'll discover how to observe bill shape & color, legs & feet, and feeding techniques to identify birds. Or just come to enjoy the refuges magnificent birds. We suggest that you bring water, bug spray, a hat, sunscreen, & anything else you may need to ensure your protection from Florida's typical climate. Meet at the flag pole in front of the Ding Darling Visitor/Education Center 10 minutes early to check in. If you don't arrive by the start time, your spot may be given to someone else. This presentation is limited to 10 pre-registered individuals. Duration of talk is approximately 1 hour. Need to cancel your ticket? No problem.
