LORTON, VA — The Anderson Orthopaedic Clinic opened a new orthopedic urgent care center at its Lorton location that provides patients with acute injuries access to board-certified physicians and physicians assistants.
The weekend clinic was developed to treat acute musculoskeletal injuries and to provide quality orthopedic care. The clinic, at 10716 Richmond Hwy, Suite 101 in Lorton, is open on Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon.
No appointments are necessary. Patients can also call ahead to get on the schedule. The clinic's phone number is 703-892-6500.
The Anderson Orthopaedic Clinic, financially based by M2 Orthopedics, treats sprains, strains and tears; bone fractures; back and neck injuries, sports-related injuries; hand and wrist injuries; shoulder, arm and elbow injuries; hip, leg and knee injuries; and foot and ankle injuries.
"As a volunteer team physician for a variety of high school, collegiate and professional sports teams, I know that access to weekend specialists is critical, so we're excited to be able to support the community in this way," Ryan Hubbard, M.D., physician co-chair of Anderson Orthopaedic Clinic Urgent Care, said in a statement.
Meanwhile, in Arlington County, Anderson Orthopaedic Clinic will be moving from its current location in the county into a new, expanded office in the fall. The new space, located at 2800 Shirlington Road in Arlington, will be a 25,000-square foot, state-of-the-art orthopedic clinic that is expected to serve 35,000 patient visits annually.
