Beverly To Host North Shore Race Amity Celebration On Saturday

BEVERLY, MA — The Winter Street Courtyard at Beverly's main library will be the site of the city's North Shore Race Amity Day Celebration on Saturday. The event designed to celebrate friendship and collaboration that crosses differences among North Shore residents is set to run from 1 to 3 p.m. If there is weather, the event will move inside the Sohier Room of the library. The event will include a dialogue between former Beverly mayoral candidate Dr. Esther Ngotho and Beverly Police Chief John LeLacheur as well as African drumming and dancing with the Joh Camara Drumming and Dance Troupe. Adeniyi Samuel, History Alive, Inc. will also perform songs in the spirit of Frederick Douglass. Those with questions about the invite are invited to contact [email protected].
