Description
NEWTON, MA – Another Christmas has come and gone, and now it's time to dispose of the tree before you're wading through pine needles.
In Newton, Christmas tree pickup will run from Jan. 4 until Jan. 15. Collection will be on your assigned recycling day only.
Residents are asked to place their tree out on the curb by 7 a.m. on collection day. But the city asks that all decorations and lights be removed and the tree should not be in a bag.
If you missed the Christmas tree pickup, please request a pickup request using 311 or by calling the city Customer Service line. Or, you can wait until April and prepare the tree according to the city.

It bears repeating: Remove all lights, ornaments, plastic bags and stands. The recycling doesn't work with wreaths that contain metal rims.
