Calling all sotol lovers! Desert Door will be joining the 2022 Annual Aspen Food and Wine Classic this year and we’d love to share our spirit with you! We’ll be joining world renowned winemakers, celebrity chefs, and culinary masters all at the same place and time— taking your palette on a taste tour through culinary demonstrations, wine and spirit tasting sessions, and even the opportunity to listen to discussions led by top chefs and sommeliers ! Make sure to come find us while you explore and experience this annual 3-day culinary experience! Desert Door is a premium craft distiller of a unique and authentic spirit known as Texas sotol. Our spirit is made from the evergreen sotol plant, native to West Texas and wild-harvested from Driftwood to Marfa and everywhere in between. We’ll be serving our two staple variations, the Original Desert Door Texas Sotol and a 100-proof Desert Door Oak-Aged Sotol. Sotol is a distant cousin to agave and while it shares some similarities to tequila and mezcal in flavor, it’s a truly unique spirit unto itself that can only be explained by trying it.
