Journey into Conscious DyingThe 3 day retreat is a life passage journey connecting us to our collective roots by exploring living now and envisioning death. You will experience deep, compassionate practices that create emotional congruence and completion in important relationships - past, present or future. The fullness of our experiential, transformation activities, unifies your spirit, soul and body, and heals the unfortunate yet profound sense of separation and isolation through the use of ancient practices for death. We will come together to share in community dialogue. We will look at our dreams, hopes and fears surrounding death. This Program restores trust in ourselves and each other, creating intimacy, openness and capacity to understand our own relationship to death. Death is truly our teacher, so as much as we can, we learn to practice and prepare for dying. We will explore the inevitability of our mortality and the simple basic human intimate needs for holding, listening, openness, forgiveness and love. Students leave refreshed and with renewed confidence in their innate healing gifts and talents; they increase their power as healing agents--agents of change leading to something as big as the evolution of human consciousness Transformational activities such as:Practice for Death: ancient rites and contemporary practices informed by modern psychologyConscious Holding: the power of physical connectionConscious Communication Practices: pure listening, basic listening, bold inquiry, and reading the fieldExperiential Activities: increasing intuition - identifying inner truth and life priorities to promote our capacity to “know” without “knowing”Understanding and exploring anger as a means of expression, completion, and letting goGrief Ceremony - supported by the power of live music and ritualRetreat Details:DATES: Thursday, August 25 - Sunday, August 28, 2022 The retreat begins with registration at 5 PM ET, August 25 and welcome and introductions at 6 PM ET LOCATION: Sanctuary In The Pines - located outside Asheville, North Carolina 34 Lake Cove Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731 MEALS: Catered vegetarian meals are provided beginning Friday August 26 – Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner August 27 – Breakfast, Lunch Dinner August 28 – Breakfast, Lunch LODGING: Lodging is available at Sanctuary In The Pines for the first 14 registrants. 14 modest, private retreat-sized rooms adjoin the Sanctuary. Each room has a sink and mirror, a glider rocking chair, a desk with chair, and a twin bed. Spacious, modern bathrooms are steps away from each twin room and include 2 private toilet rooms and 2 private shower rooms, a double sink and vanity top. Towels, linens, and soaps will be provided. Attendees can look for alternate accommodation within walking distance at Highland Lake Inn or for options within driving distance on AirBnB.
