MELROSE, MA — The city continues to struggle mightily to contain the coronavirus, which hit 1,000 reported cases before Christmas. The state's weekly coronavirus report released on Thursday still had Melrose firmly in the red, showing 1,000 total cases since the start of the pandemic.
