TINLEY PARK, IL — Representatives from the Army National Guard will be at Tuesday's village board meeting to accept a proclamation thanking them for their help at the Tinley Park vaccination site. According to officials, the board will officially recognize the organization's contributions in setting up and maintaining the COVID-19 mass vaccination site at Tinley Park Convention Center. RELATED: Officials Celebrate Closing Mass Vaccine Site In Tinley Park The site opened in January of 2021 and vaccinated around 3,000 people per day at its peak, according to Village Manager Pat Carr. "We're extremely proud of our partnership with the Illinois National Guard. We couldn't have done it without their help," he said. All those who wish to join the village in thanking the Illinois National Guard can attend the proclamation reading at Village Hall at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday, June 7.
