We are looking for a Full-Time technician/assistant to work in our Berkeley Lab. This role is responsible for handling incoming samples, driving deliveries, samples prepartaion, chores and cleaning around the place, and packing samples to be shipped out. This position is an opportunity to learn about the environmental industry, a secure and growing sector. We prefer applicants who have an interest in learning some of the more technical aspects of sample control while supporting the department. Primary Responsibilities: -Receives environmental samples into the laboratory -Label the sample containers -Sample bottle preparation -Sample management and disposal -Driving for sample pickup -Daily tasks with light labor and cleanup -Be flexible in work schedule including overtime when needed Qualifications: -High school diploma or equivalent -Ability to lift 50lbs to waist height repeatedly. -Some experience with secure/clean environment is preferred but not required -Valid state issued driver's license to drive company vehicles -Background screen & drug test -Proficient basic computer use (email, spreadsheet) -Able to communicate effectively Hours: 10:00am-6:30pm, Mon-Fri.
