Florist Needs Delivery Driver and Shop Assistant

Our shop is growing, and we need friendly, professional people to grow with us. If you’re responsible, punctual, and reliable, and you love working with people and flowers, then this might be the job for you. As a Delivery Driver, your typical day will include: Sweeping and dusting throughout the shop Setting-up, re-arranging, and cleaning displays Planning delivery routes Preparing orders and loading them Delivering flowers, plants, and gifts using a company van Confirming deliveries using phone apps Taking inventory of products and supplies Assisting with other tasks as needed upon returning to the store Periodically, your tasks will include: Cleaning and processing flowers and foliage Watering and caring for plants Assisting with loading, unloading, and setting up for events This is a full-time position. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 9 am until 5 pm with a paid, 30-minute lunch break. Some evenings and weekends may be required, along with some holidays, like Mother’s Day and Valentine’s Day. In addition to other qualifications, you must have: A clean driving record with no tickets or accidents in the past 5 years At least 5 years of driving experience, and 1 year of commercial driving experience The ability to safely lift and carry up objects weighing up to 40 lbs. up and down stairs A positive attitude, with a willingness to work hard and have fun doing it Floral experience is not required, but having some experience or education helps your application. You must speak and read English fluently, and proficiency in any other language is desirable. As a Shop Assistant, your typical day would include: Open or close the shop for the day Assist customers with selecting and purchasing flowers and products Sweep, mop, clean, and dust throughout the shop Clean and process flowers and foliage Set-up, re-arrange, and clean displays rganizing and reconciling the inventory of flowers, products, and supplies Assist with loading, unloading, and setting up for events This is a part-time position. The schedule varies depending on the needs of the shop. Evenings and weekends may be required, along with some holidays, like Mother’s Day and Valentine’s Day. In addition to other qualifications, you must have: The ability to safely lift and carry up objects weighing up to 40 lbs. up and down stairs A positive attitude, with a willingness to work hard and have fun doing it Floral experience is not required, but having some experience or education helps your application. The starting salary for both positiosn is $19.00 per hour.
