2022 PMA FILKENJUTSU Black Belt Test & Luau

Three of PMA's Filkenjutsu students, Sam Fox, Richard Sances, and Alex Torres were selected as Black Belt candidates last September and have since been preparing for their Black Belt Test. The date is set for Friday, July 1 - Sunday, July 3.  The final day of the test is a public demonstration of their acquired skills, and all of those in attendance will serve as witnesses to the promotion. These Black Belt Candidates hope to have their friends and family present on Sunday, July 3rd for this closing ceremony and to take part in a luau to celebrate this tremendous achievement. Other PMA students are also encouraged to attend with their friends and family members (adults and children) to observe the final day of this incredible journey. The public demonstration and closing ceremony will begin at 1 PM on Sunday, July 3rd at Progressive Martial Arts Academy in Oak Ridge. After the ceremony, we host a luau because Hawaii is the birthplace of Kenpo as we know it, and thus a luau is the only way to party! The rest of the students at PMA traditionally provide the food for the luau. Please list what you are bringing in the notes with your reservation so we can keep track of what we need! The Brown Belts and Junior Black Belts at PMA are in charge of the luau, so if students have any questions regarding the luau, they should see Austin and Eli Fox. Space for this event is extremely limited. If all of the reserved seats are gone, please feel free to come by and watch, but be aware it will be crowded and standing room only after the tickets above are taken.
