Description
TAMPA, FL — The University Area Community Development Corp. is seeking projects and volunteers for its annual Paint the Town event, Saturday, Jan. 16 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Paint the Town, an event held in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., will bring together community residents as they roll up their sleeves and invest sweat equity into cleaning and beautifying neighborhoods in the Uptown/University Area, concentrating on the ZIP codes 33612 and 33613.
In addition to painting, projects to be considered include mowing yards; laying sod, landscaping; planting; repairing fences, doors and windows; litter removal and more.
Paint the Town impacts the entire community by restoring neighborhood pride, increasing property values, and bringing community members together. Hundreds of volunteers are needed to pitch in and assist with projects that will help revitalize and beautify the neighborhood.
