Hello! I’m setting up a 55 gallon aquarium for my classroom! I am looking for free or cheap freshwater community fish and plants for the tank. Me and my co-teacher have experience with fish and their extensive care. I am particularly looking for guppies, platy, corydoras (any coloration), mollies, algae eaters, danios, tetras, FEMALE beta fish (I’m familiar with sorority tanks and have one of my own currently :) and like fish, but we’re open to seeing anything you have available. The tank is going to be cycled with filters from an existing tank I have back home and regularly cared for. Any live plants that are easy to maintain I’d love to take! (Especially ones that multiply quickly as it’s a massive tank!) I am willing to drive up to an hour, and regularly visit areas like farmville, Lynchburg, Harrisonburg, and Richmond! So don’t worry about being too far away, I travel a lot! I can also bring 5 gallon buckets to transport in if needed. We are also open to any donations of supplies or even old tanks, heck maybe we can convince another classroom to set up a tank! :) thank you so much! Have a wonderful day!
