His background is in higher education, and he previously served as dean, administrator, or faculty at universities such as Georgetown University, Boston College, University of North Carolina-Charlotte, and the University of Central Florida. Gary is a Certified Master for The Leadership Challenge, and Certified Speaker, Trainer, and Coach of the John Maxwell Team. Gary is the co-author (or ghostwriter) of four leadership books on The Student Leadership Challenge and has developed training programs for leadership educators throughout the United States and the world including Canada, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, South Africa, Italy, Mexico, Costa Rica, Venezuela, and Guatemala.
