BATAVIA, IL — After a two-year hiatus, the community will once again have the chance to gather and eat together at Batavia Dinner Table, set to take place Aug. 7. Hosted by not-for-profit organization Batavia MainStreet, Batavia Dinner Tables allows about 200 people to gather on North River Street and eat a farm-t0-table meal together as a community. The event serves as an avenue to raise money for Batavia Interfaith Food Pantry, and to date, organizers of the event have contributed almost $39,000 to the pantry. Batavia Dinner Table will kick off at 4 p.m. and feature food made with ingredients sourced primarily from Batavia Farmers Market vendors. Meals will be prepared by chefs from downtown Batavia restaurants, according to a news release.
