Press release from the Fort Smith Regional Chamber of Commerce: June 6, 2022 ART ON THE BORDER – NEWS RELEASE – 2022 ART ON THE BORDER ART SHOW & SALE JULY 22ND & 23RD, 2022 ACHE Research Institute Health & Wellness Center, 1000 Fianna Way, Fort Smith, Arkansas (Formerly the Golden Living Campus) More than 70 fine artists and artisans presenting their original artwork. Fundraiser for four local charities Presented by The Classic Charitable Foundation (501c3) Since 1995 our foundation has generated almost $3,000,000 for local charity organizations. After a two-year absence due to the Covid 19 virus, ART ON THE BORDER returns with our annual art show and sale to be held July 22nd and 23rd, 2022. We are excited about the new location of the event in the newly renovated and spacious event center at the ACHE Research Institute. Art patrons and charity supporter will find a host of mediums to admire and purchase. They include oils, pastels, acrylics, watercolor, fiber, hand-blown glass, jewelry, sculptures, gourds, digitally enhanced photographs, wood turning and baskets, high quality prints as well as originals. Art on the Border grew from 14 artists in 2014 to 60+ in 2019. We are expecting more this year. That list will be provided by end of May. Charities for 2022 The Donald W. Reynolds Cancer Support House The Gregory Kistler Treatment Center Art's at Bost The Good Samaritan Clinic Funds for these local charities are generated through sponsorship, donations, and sale of the artworks. Honorary Hosts will be Susan and Sam Fiori, strong supporters of the arts and all good things in Fort Smith. The event kicks off Friday evening with the "Show Opening Meet the Artists" reception, 5:00 – 9:00. This offers sponsors, former buyers, charity supporters, interested newcomers, invited guests and art collectors the opportunity to meet the artists and first choice of purchase while they sip and mingle.
