We are a growing custom wood and metal working business. (I have two of these ads out there. One for full-time and one for part-time. We are looking for several people and can accommodate different scenarios. This ad is for someone looking for more than 33+ hours per week but that can provide consistent work.) Please check us out by searching, Single Batch Designs *please no phone calls or drop-ins* Our business has had continuous and sustained growth over the past seven years and we are looking to add a full-time person. It is a small shop environment, currently four people working out of a large (temperature heat/ac controlled) warehouse building over in Covington. The shop is largely online however there are continued shop projects and a few more pieces of equipment arriving. The business does a good amount of large slab work. However, we are growing and getting requests for millwork, some light cabinet work, and true furniture work. This is not a production environment. This is a high quality business. Just "good enough" is not good enough. Strong attention to detail. We are looking for people who really want to do this type of work. And want to grow and increase earnings with a growing business. We are looking for experienced craftspeople and woodworkers. Our business has had significant growth over the past three years and we are looking to add This is a list of applicable experience, if you have some... but not all, please feel free to still apply. -Experience with millwork, woodwork, furniture building, *on-site installations bonus* -Experience with working with solid materials (slab, dimensional) -Experience with wood fill, resin, epoxy, c8 glue, and repair work -Experience with processing material from raw material into 4s and then into furniture or panel glue ups -Experience with large machinery, jointers, planers, widebelt sanders, -Experience with different types of joinery Bonus skills (if you have these please mention it): -CAD (ability to draw up quick plans, or renderings for projects) -Ability to take a description of a project and develop a plan and carry that project from start to completion -Ability to work independently as well as part of a team -Ability to repair/maintain equipment -Willingness to do all types of work around a workshop. From sweeping up floors and organizing a space, to shop build out, to actually doing woodworking. -Metalwork and blacksmithing skills -Other skills valuable to a growing business -Willingness to go out on out of state deliveries or installations (we provide transportation, above average lodging, etc). -Good driving record If you are interested please respond with a bit about yourself, your background, why you would like to work here, and anything relevant as to why you would be a good fit.
